Make a reservation for the time and date that you wish to visit.  When you arrive, our coaches will check you in, assign you a predetermined # of targets depending on the size of your group, and then provide you with all the instruction necessary.  

There is no official age requirement.  Children may throw axes at their parent's discretion.  All participants must demonstrate the ability to safely throw an axe in order to be approved to play by our coaches.  

We have a wide variety of axes available for use, including small axes that are easier for kids to throw.  Please remember that common sense must be used and these are real axes.

All minors must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian.  Parents are responsible for ensuring that their children follow the safety rules.

Waivers are required for all participants and minors must have a parent's signature.  

Other games such as Giant Jenga and Giant Connect Four are available to play for free for anyone not interested in throwing.  We also have a pool table, coloring books, and tv.  There is no charge for children that do not participate in axe throwing.

Yes we allow BYOB. Beer, seltzer, cider, and wine only. No hard liquor.

Are you looking for a place to host a private party near Scranton, PA?  We've got plenty of space and fun things to do for all sorts of parties!  We've got tables, tvs, music, a microphone, vairable lighting (black light or regular), games, parking, and of course - axe throwing!  

Axe throwing is the best party activity!  People can throw at their own pace and it's not as hard as you think!  Whether you want to host an organized tournament, play a few competitive games, try a few challenges, or just hang out, axe throwing can meet your parties vibe (as long as it's fun)!

We accept walk-ins based on availability.  We sell out quite often so we highly suggest making a reservation!  

Make a reservation using your debit or credit card.  When you arrive, please explain to the cashier that you have a groupon, voucher, or giftcard and you would like to have your deposit refunded back to your card.

Yes we are and yes it is safe! The backboards and wood chips on the ground will absorb any missed throws and as long as you follow the rules everything should go fine. 

Heck no! Axe throwing is more technical than brute strength.  

Closed toe shoes, no exceptions!  Shoes-of-shame available for those that forget. 

Nope. Our coaches will go over some quick techniques and you’ll be sticking the axe in about 10 min. 

Yes! There will be games, coloring books, tv, a couple of couches, and picnic tables with chairs. Just please keep them away from the throwing line.  There is no charge for anyone that does not particpate in axe throwing.

 Reservations are recommended via our website. Walk ins are always welcome.  

You can bring in your own food or have it delivered to Electric City Axe Throwing by one of our many local restaurants.

Yes!  Private parties reservations can be made in our reservations section.  

Yes!  Observers are welcome to come and watch their friends and family throw axes for no cost!  We also have a pool table, Giant Jenga, Giant Connect Four, coloring books, and a tv to keep you entertained!

Wear what is comfortable. The only requirement is closed toed shoes. 

We are available to book private parties and events outside of our normal business hours by appointment only.  Please send us a message on our website chatbox to get more information.

If you appreciate the tips given to you by our coaches, then they will appreciate yours too!

We have several axes here for you to try.  There are certatin axes that we will recommend based on your expereience level.  There are also different types of axes for different throwing techniques.  Ultimately, the best axe is what you're the most comfortable with.  However, we do have competition-level throwing axes for sale if you want to use something a bit more serious.

Yes!  If you're struggling to find what gift to buy for someone that is hard to to buy for, then we have some great things for you!  Firstly, we have giftcards (physical and digital) so that you can give the gift of axe throwing!  Giftcards may be used to buy anything, including regular axe throwing, private parties, league/tournament entry, or merch!  Secondly, we have axes and cool merch available!

If you'd like to bring your own axe and use it at our venue, simply bring it to the front desk and show it to our coach for approval.  As long as there is nothing blatantly dangerous with your axe then we will allow you to use it!

If you have never thrown an axe before and you want to try it, come on in!  You do not need any axe throwing experience to try axe throwing.  Our coaches are great and will give you step by step instruction.  If you'd like a head start, you can always check out our YouTube channel - Electric City Axe Throwing (ecaxethrowing) for some tips and tricks!  (We're on Tiktok too!)
